ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ Champions Occupational Health and Safety Training for Lab Technicians

In a proactive move towards fostering workplace safety, ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ recently joined forces with the St. John's Ambulance team to conduct an intensive Occupational Health and Safety Training session specifically tailored for lab technicians. The comprehensive program delved into a diverse range of critical topics, including Electrical Safety, Machinery Safety, Chemical Safety, and more. The objective was clear: to equip participants with essential skills necessary for maintaining a secure work environment.

The training went beyond the basics, placing a strong emphasis on First Aid and Workplace Inspection Techniques. Additionally, it addressed contemporary challenges faced by the workforce, including the sensitive topic of HIV and AIDS in the Workplace. By incorporating these elements, ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ aimed not only to meet standard safety protocols but also to instill a culture of safety consciousness within the university community.
