University Management Assesses Readiness of New Physiotherapy and Medical Facility

In a significant stride toward standardising healthcare delivery and advancing clinical training, the Kabarak University Management Board conducted a comprehensive inspection of its newly completed physiotherapy and medical facility, marking another important step in the institution's commitment to excellence in healthcare training and service delivery.

Led by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Henry K. Kiplangat, the management team toured the facility following its handover by the contractors. The visit focused on evaluating the readiness of the clinical spaces, equipment installations, and overall infrastructure ahead of full operationalisation.

The modern facility has been designed to support specialised physiotherapy, rehabilitation, and medical services while creating an environment that reflects current healthcare standards. During the inspection, the management team expressed satisfaction with the quality of workmanship, noting that both the design and functionality of the facility align with the university's vision of providing world-class healthcare services and training opportunities.

Speaking during the visit, Prof. Kiplangat highlighted the importance of the facility in strengthening healthcare access for both the university community and the wider public. He noted that the centre will provide affordable and professional physiotherapy, diagnostic, and rehabilitative services, extending the university's mission of serving society through practical and impactful initiatives.

The facility is also expected to play a critical role in enhancing clinical training within the university's health sciences programmes. By providing access to modern equipment and real-world clinical environments, students will gain valuable hands-on experience that complements classroom learning and prepares them for professional practice.

For learners in the School of Medicine and other health-related disciplines, the centre will offer opportunities to develop practical competencies under supervised settings, helping bridge the gap between academic knowledge and patient care. This approach supports the university's broader goal of producing highly skilled healthcare professionals equipped to address emerging health needs locally and beyond.

As preparations for full operations continue, the facility is set to become an important resource for clinical training, rehabilitation services, and community healthcare support.
