You can’t learn 21st-century science just by sitting in a lecture hall and talking to each other. True learning happens when you get your boots dirty, step into the field, and see how things actually work. Our biology education majors from the School of Education, Humanities, and Social Sciences (SEHSS),recently wrapped up an intensive academic tour of Western Kenya. Led on the ground by, Lecturer in Biology at the Department of Education (Science), designed the entire trip around a singular, practical goal: get out of the classroom, get away from the whiteboards, and build real-world, hands-on skills.

On March 10, 2026, we hosted an engaging Life Coaching Session aimed at empowering academic staff and students with practical strategies for personal development and professional success. Organized by the Office of the Dean, School of Education, Humanities, and Social Sciences (SEHSS), the event brought together the university community for an interactive learning experience focused on building resilience and leadership. The session was specifically designed to support both academic achievement and long-term career growth through meaningful discussion and actionable tools.

The  (SEHSS) held a ground-breaking board meeting at the ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ ODeL Centre (KABUODeL) Conference Hall to kick off the new semester with a clear strategic plan. The meeting, which brought together all academic staff from the school, was chaired by the Dean of SEHSS, , PhD.

Today marked a memorable transition at ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ s  (SEHSS), as the community came together to bid farewell to and officially welcomed as the new Dean. The event celebrated not just a change in leadership but the legacy of a man who has profoundly shaped the academic and artistic journey of the university.

We are proud to celebrate Dr. Elkanah Cheboi, a lecturer in the Department of Theology and Biblical Studies, who has been selected by the Asia Minor Research Centre as one of the Global South New Testament scholars to participate in a distinguished field trip to biblical sites across Turkey; the historic region of ancient Asia Minor.
