Music and media excellence took center stage as the School of Music and Media Orchestra was invited to the (KTN) for a special live recording in preparation for the Easter season. The session brought together talented student musicians whose performance reflected discipline, creativity, and artistic excellence.

A delegation from ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ is currently undertaking an official visit to the University of Venda in South Africa, marking an important milestone in strengthening academic partnerships and promoting cultural collaboration between the two institutions.

ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ, through the School of Music and Media’s Department of Music and Performing Arts, successfully hosted its First Annual Music Symposium, bringing together secondary school students and teachers for a day of learning, engagement, and musical exploration. The symposium provided a valuable academic platform for learners studying music at the secondary school level to deepen their understanding of key musical concepts while interacting with university-level resources and expertise.

ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ today hosted Cameras Africa for a hands-on media training session designed to enhance practical skills among students pursuing Mass Communication and Film & Theatre under the School of Music and Media. The training was part of the University’s ongoing commitment to bridging theory and practice through industry engagement and experiential learning.

ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ today hosted a high-level delegation from the University of Venda (UNIVEN), South Africa, led by Prof. Bernard Nthambeleni, Vice Chancellor of the University of Venda. He was accompanied by Prof. Madimabe Geoff Mapaya, Professor in the Department of Arts and Social Sciences. The delegation was received by ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ Vice Chancellor, Prof. Henry K. Kiplangat, accompanied by members of the University Management and faculty.

ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ s Department of Mass Communication, under the School of Music and Media, held a consultative meeting with a delegation from Meru National Polytechnic to discuss the development of a collaborative Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). The meeting, held on 20th November, brought together faculty, departmental leaders, and technical representatives from both institutions in a constructive session focused on strengthening academic and industry-oriented partnerships.
