Student organization of Kibabi University with their dean of students Dr. Alice Mutai and the chaplain Dr. Leonard Juma, were received by the acting dean of students kabarak university Dr. Dorcas Githaiga and the chaplain Rev. Justus Mutuku at kabarak university.
The two student councils from Kibabii university and ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ had a very serious interactive forum on matters of leadership. ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ student council has 15 members who run different dockets like spiritual affairs, hostels, social affairs, health and catering, library, and academics and sports. The members are duly elected by the students to represent their needs. From the laughs and the smiles from the boardroom, it was evident that the Kibabii student organization was having a moment of a lifetime with our student council.
The counsellors in a separate room had real engagement on counselling and mental health. The Kibabii counselling team got to understand how the counselling department runs effectively. The counselling department is one of the most active departments in this university and a lot has been seen from their desk recently including the mental awareness week that ran successfully for a week towards the end of last semester.
The chaplains discussed chaplaincy and pastoral duties in universities. The synergy of Rev Justus Mutuku, chaplain ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ, and Dr. Leonard Juma was on another great level and you could tell they were learning from one another.
